Having art that pops for your genre is fundamental to your book’s success - and AI is one tool lowering that barrier to entry. We’ve all seen the products of lazy AI use out there, but when done right, it can be a powerful asset.
Not all cover project are suited to being done with AI, but I’m happy to offer my design skills to support your vision! If you start a full-art project with me, it will follow several steps. First, you’ll give me specifics about your project that you’d like me to fulfill - characters, setting, a particular scene you want executed, that sort of thing. Then, I’ll go work my magic for a while and bring back an assortment of candidate images!
Once we’ve found a candidate you’re interested in, I’ll take it back to the drawing board and polish it up into a final piece of art to use for your book cover.

Some common limitations I set with AI covers - I typically max out at two characters, and if your design is too intricate or has too many oddball details, I may not be able to include all of them. The more characters or details you have, the more you’ll need to compromise!
As a rule I do not identify which of my clients used AI for their cover, either done by me or anyone else - so, all examples of AI art I share here on this site are for my own projects. Since they’re my projects, they use my preferred art style. But, I’m also able to do different styles on request!
